Here are some house washing-related questions our customers in the Greater Vancouver often ask us.

The green and black growth on your house sidings are primarily algae, mold, and mildew. Our soft wash cleaning solution will effectively clean them, along with the dirt.
From 2 to 10 years. Vinyl sidings get dirty faster than other building materials such as brick and stucco, because vinyl siding moves. The vinyl siding expands and contracts over temperature changing. When they do, the friction generates static electricity, which attracts dirt. Over time, organic growth starts to grow with that nutrition. And Vancouver’s humid weather is just another catalyst that will speed up the whole process. If you have a vinyl siding, consider washing the house very 2 to 5 years.
We treat every house differently. Our technicians will evaluate the condition of your home, and then mix the detergent onsite. Our detergent is biodegradable, safe to human, pets, and plants, and proven to be effective. If you want to know more about our detergent and how we use it, please consider our Professional Training. The price is $300/day/person + $100 fee. A non-compete agreement (only applicable in Lower Mainland area) will need to be signed.
Yes, as long as it’s above freezing.
–         Do not use high pressure on sidings (or roofs)
High pressures could be very damaging, especially on some fragile areas such as windows, doors, soffits, painted surfaces, and more often, oxidized sidings.
 
–         Try the soft brushing method
Though very time consuming, soft brushing might be the only way for a homeowner to wash the house sidings safely. Just keep in mind, if the vinyl sidings are oxidized, they will likely look uneven after soft brushing. Meanwhile, soft brushing could take 50 times more time comparing to soft washing, and no true professional in exterior cleaning industry uses soft brushing as their primary cleaning method.
 
–         Use some detergent
If you use detergent on other things you clean, such as cloths, dishes, hands, cars, hair, teeth, etc., you should seriously consider using some detergent when washing the house. Using proper cleaning detergent will not only make the cleaning much faster and more thoroughly, but also, if chosen a right detergent, make the result last much longer.
